Special Release Bressay Estate Vineyard Chardonnay
2024

Winemaker’s Notes

One of the most singular wines in our portfolio, and extremely limited production – this small special vineyard parcel will only ever provide ten to twelve barrels per vintage. The land is a steep hillside surrounded by a diverse range of aromatic trees and planted in our specialized high-density format. These elements bring complex aromas, deep chewy texture, and outstanding length to the wine. A wine of contrasts, it’s inherently bright and energetic, yet deep and textural, and will develop great complexity in-bottle for up to a decade. You could gently decant the wine in its youth or drink it over two nights to maximize its enjoyment.

Chalky mint, sage, and green apple aromas with preserved lemon and savory botanicals – dramatic and inviting. The wine is rich and full through the mid-palate with lemon verbena and white peach flavors. Deep texture is offset by electric acidity that vibrates throughout the palate. The wine’s volume continues to grow in the glass with time.

For drinking soon after release and aging up to 10 years.
