Winemaker’s Notes

As usual, Ryan is the most fruit-driven Pinot of this fall offering, and likely of the entire vintage. If, like me, you can't resist the incredible fruit purity that our small Green Valley region naturally offers, this is the Pinot for you – it's akin to burying your face in a bowl of the freshest, most perfectly ripe raspberries, blackberries, and cherries. Yes, occasionally, it's okay to overindulge. The dark yet supple, wild berry style of our Dr. Galante Estate combines perfectly with the brighter, coastal breeziness of MacIntyre, and the forward, generous character of the 2024 vintage has played beautifully into the hand of both vineyards and their resulting blend. There's great volume here, plus acidity and lift – the wine will drink beautifully on release, while aging gracefully for a decade-plus. 

The wine's aromas and flavors feature a deep, succulent core of wild berries, red and black cherry, olive tapenade, truffle, and woodsy underbrush. There's obvious concentration in a medium-bodied style, with diverse coastal notes of iodine and kelp. It maintains vibrancy alongside its powerful fruit core and finishes long and expansive. Lovely wine.
