Spring Release Highland Divide Pinot Noir
2024

Winemaker’s Notes

The 2024 Highland Divide is the most fruit-driven Pinot of the vintage and the wine to open first. It will give you a clear snapshot of this lovely vintage, and as usual, it’s the single finest value in our entire portfolio. I will be drinking my bottles over two evenings to enjoy the wine’s evolution from fruity to savory to complex and layered. Organically grown in three of our Estate vineyards and farmed by our skilled team, the wine is classic DuMOL coastal ridgeline Russian River—soaring aromatics, deep succulent red-to-black fruits, supple layers, and vibrant acidity. It’s one of the richest Pinots of the entire vintage—generous and approachable but capable of aging and developing in bottle for up to a decade. It reminds me most closely of the 2021 counterpart; high praise indeed.

Aromas and flavors akin to cranberry, hibiscus and raspberry that darken to black cherry and autumnal woodsy spice. The fruit has inviting freshness, lovely purity and lift, and it becomes succulent and broad with air. The texture gradually expands to combine deep richness with a line of fresh, persistent acidity.

“The 2024 Pinot Noir Highland Divide, sourced entirely from estate vineyards, is soft, succulent and inviting, making it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. Spice, leather, tobacco, incense and blood orange build effortlessly in the glass. Soft, racy contours frame the polished finish. Superb.” - Antonio Galloni / Vinous
