Our small block of coastal Chenin Blanc is an experiment that seems to have taken on a life of its own—it sells out in record time with each release. Our 2023 has both the highest acidity and most texture of all previous releases and offers outstanding aging potential if you have some degree of patience.

One of our most limited production wines – a mere nine barrels each year – our Bressay Estate Chardonnay is one of the pinnacles of our winegrowing efforts each year. It’s a wine full of substance and pedigree that’s completely specific to this location—that’s why it’s so special. 

Here we have one of our finest ever efforts from Charles Heintz Vineyard, a wine that perfectly combines intense botanical coastal characters with the oily citrussy depth the vines naturally produce. The wine shimmers and shines, just like the place itself.

Our 2023 Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard Pinot Noir is a wine that wears its high elevation coastal origins proudly front and center—you can sense the coastal Sonoma flora directly in the glass: pine needle, woodsy fern, kelp, and sea spray aromas.

Our 24th vintage of Finn Pinot Noir and one of the greatest in this long run. It’s a supremely complex and sophisticated wine that is supple and layered, showing great finesse.

One of the highlights of the entire vintage, our new release 2023 MacIntyre Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir rivals the stellar 2021 for our finest expression yet from this dynamic vineyard. From the very top of our MacIntyre Estate, the 2022 Chenin Blanc is one of our top wines of the 2022 vintage— a vibrant yet deeply flavored Chenin Blanc with ripe appley fruits, savory nuances, and a long lingering arc of flavor.  

The 2022 vintage of this wine showcases incredible precision and focus, with a leaner and toned-down profile compared to previous years. It exudes a unique coastal expression, with intense aromas of red and black fruits, minerals, and savory umami notes. 

The 2022 vintage of Dutton-Jentoft Pinot is the closest in style and structure to the 2021 predecessor. This delicious wine expresses the steep hillside vineyard with coastal fruit, bright acidity, and fine tannins. 

This dry-farmed, organic vineyard produces fruit with irresistible purity.  The resulting wine has a mossy underbrush terroir signature, and a sophisticated yet classic profile with vibrant red fruits, blueberry notes, and fresh herb elements. 

This 100% estate-grown wine from the Russian River Valley is rich, textured, and structured. With classic aromas and flavors of cherry, cranberry, hibiscus, and a touch of woodsy complexity, it offers a pure, mineral-driven palate with layers of concentration. 

Traditionally our most fruit-filled and approachable Pinot bottling that ages gracefully for a decade-plus, with black cherry, briary wild berries, pomegranate and licorice notes.

This is a delicious version of an intriguing and hyper-local Iberian red grape and wine style. We love it.

This coastal Syrah stands out with its diverse combination of vineyards and soils, resulting in a kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors. This wine is layered, pure, and offers focused tannins, with lingering complexity of cocoa and herbs. 

From the high elevation Hoppe-Kelly Vineyard southeast of Healdsburg, this wine has a lovely purity of fruit, with notes of rosemary, lavender, black cherry, and blackberry, along with tapenade, peppercorn, and potpourri. 

Strongly influenced by the cooling effects of nearby San Pablo Bay, the strikingly beautiful Meteor Vineyard results in a concentrated, succulent, and richly textured wine driven by a core of deep irresistible cassis fruit. 

A wine with a rare “Grand Cru” presence, beautiful in its deft balance between power and elegance with aromas and flavors akin to lemongrass and bee pollen, flint and green herbs, quince, and white peach.

Comprising three of our region’s unique sub-districts, this wine blends fruit from the valley itself with vineyards further west, stretching out to the coolest ‘reaches’ of the appellation’s high elevation coastal ridges.

Created from vines planted among a dense forest of red Altamont soils on a steep hillside, where high-density configuration and a special meso-climate highly contribute to the character that is evident in its deliciousness. This Chardonnay offers a complex, savory aroma structured with a brisk acidity that reveals flavors of honeyed citrus, beeswax, ginger and green apple.  

Immediately expressive with power, breadth and chewy depth, yet bristles with energy and freshness. This is the designate Chardonnay to open first for its early pleasure, while waiting for the sharper coastal wines to find their pace. 

One of the highlights in this greatest of vintages from our small 2-acre Kearney Estate Vineyard parcel. It’s now clear that with vine maturity, this singular bottling has evolved from a wine fueled by fruit into one expressive of place - of terroir. 

These old vines naturally offer a high level of vine extract – the product of the grape skins themselves – which blends perfectly with the high acidity of the site. The result is chewy richness with vibrant limey acidity – a deft and perfect combination. 

Wines from Charles Heintz are incredibly distinctive, unlike anything else in Sonoma or California as a whole, and that’s down to the special vineyard site itself.

Our latest Hyde bottling rivals the greatest wines we’ve produced from this vineyard over the last twenty vintages. The wine is immediately steely and mineral yet dense and chewy with obvious extract and power. 

Our Highland Divide is a wine that matches the later-release single-vineyard chardonnays for quality and style—it’s one of the most dynamic wines of the vintage.

Comprising three of our region’s unique sub-districts, this wine blends fruit from the valley itself with vineyards further west, stretching out to the coolest ‘reaches’ of the appellation’s high elevation coastal ridges.

Our 2021 Rosé of Pinot Noir is utterly delicious—it’s as simple as that. Higher in acidity than the 2020 rosé with greater focus and length.

Our MacIntyre Estate offers a Chenin Blanc that perfectly combines just-ripe fruit, a natural savory edge, honeyed richness, and electric acidity. 

This wine is quite unique in our portfolio, being mostly red fruit focused which is enhanced by our use of 30% whole clusters in the fermentation tank. This ancient technique lifts the wine’s aromas, broadens its texture and preserves its energy and drive. Andy Smith’s personal favorite Pinot of this great 2021 vintage. 

This wine vividly conveys this piece of land with balance, flow, and layering to the wine’s aromas, flavors, and structure.

A remarkable wine of depth and concentration unlike any other. Grown in rocky hillside soils, it gives alluring aromas of sandalwood and Asian spice. With succulent black cherry flavors, vibrant acidity, and a juicy, lingering finish, this pinot noir is a true testament to the craft.

Just as the wine expresses these vineyards’ two distinct soil types: silty/sandy and clay/loam, so too the wine shows the dual sides of local Pinot Noir: bright and effusive balancing and offsetting deep and expansive.

This new vintage takes me back to our earlier DuMOL days. The aromatics highlight the essence of our coastal Green Valley environment: wild berries, thyme, spearmint, truffle and freshly tilled soil.

This wine blends fruit from three high-density parcels that are of vineyard designate quality to create the richest and most textural of our Spring Release Pinot Noirs.

The 2021 bottling, our 20th vintage producing Wildrose, is one of our finest yet, certainly on par with the classic 2018 and 2014.

For 2021 we chose to isolate the steepest section of this hillside vineyard to create a wine packed full of vibrant coastal fruit, savory spice, and bright acidity.

Our coastal climate allows for a long growing season, and the Syrah is able to develop a wide range of aromas and flavors, deeply layered fruit intensity, and structure. Blackberry, violet, juniper, and black pepper strike an elegant balance.

This is a glorious expression of cool climate coastal Syrah, and certainly the sleeper/insider bottling of the entire vintage.

This is a delicious version of an intriguing and hyper-local Iberian red grape and wine style. We love it.

When we look back to all the great wines we’ve made from Heintz, this vintage deserves a place in the finest-ever conversation. 

These old vines produce some of the most characterful grapes we work with, packed full of nuance, individuality, and outstanding pedigree.

Our finest Chardonnay from 2020 and one of the greatest we’ve ever bottled, with density and concentration, high acidity and driving energy.

Our richest Chardonnay grows on clay soils in the warmer central district of the Russian River Valley, inland from the coastal vineyards.

This wine’s similarity to a Grand Cru Burgundy is unmistakable, with flinty aromas, mineral intensity, dense-deep fruit extract, and pinpoint saline acidity.

Sadly, this will be our final vintage of Viognier. And so, we go out on a high point with our nineteenth release from this lovely vineyard.

A prominent vineyard signature is this wine's core feature, and this character is clearly defined and focused in the flavor and structure.

This is our most exciting inaugural release in many years. We struggle to remember when we were this excited to bottle a new wine.

Our 2020 Flax is the finest wine we’ve made from this site since taking control of the farming in 2017, and it makes a strong claim for the title of Pinot-of-the-vintage.
